Spikes
What is it?
Spike is an unexpected or unplanned task. See it as if everything planned is going smoothly and then an unexpected interruption takes place that pulls various team members to this incident.
Unique insights and benefits
Naturally intertwined with items in your timeline. E.g. tasks, events, offtime and more.
The bigger the interval the harder it is to have control over every small detail. Features such as spike let you have a full understanding on how distractions affect the timelines.
The capability of the spike to auto-split and auto-adjust the timelines will make the experience even better. When you input the spike into the system you will see real time changes. Everything will move prioritizing the spike for that specific period.
You can enter the spike to the system after managing everything means post-factum. It can be entered into system as already done and will reflect correct start date.
Although the spike is a time sensitive block, when an event collapses into it, the spike gets splitted. In case when spike meets an offtime it is skipped. In case of colliding with a task, the spike re-prioritizes it.
You can create a spike for yourself or assign it to multiple people that were involved into the problem with you.
We recommend using spikes with financial forecast to see how much a spike costs you.
