Guesstimation Board

The Guesstimation Board by TaskSensor is a powerful feature designed to provide clear insights into your long-term tasks and resource requirements. It's a cube that helps you stay organized and on top of your workload, allowing for more strategic planning.The long-term tasks are also called guesstimation items.

The Guesstimation Board highlights any scheduling conflicts involving assignees directly on the timeline, making it easy to spot and address task overlaps.

As you move or resize guesstimation items, the system displays its information in real time through various key performance indicators (KPIs)

• Estimated Resource Count: indicates the number of assignees you plan to allocate for the entire long-term task.

• Resources: displays the number of assigned individuals compared to the previously entered number of required assignees.

• Effort Units: displays the number of people assigned times their workdays, compared to your initial estimate of required assignees times their workdays. Even when both figures align, the system factors in scheduled time off and recalculates accordingly, highlighting any resource deficiencies to ensure accurate planning.

• Workdays: shows the total number of workdays within the guesstimation item's interval, providing a clear view of available working time for task completion.

• Coloring: Assignee avatars are color-coded based on their availability.

  • Red - if an individual is assigned to multiple tasks within the same time interval.

  • Orange - if they have a scheduled time off.

• Collisions: Highlights a shortage of resources caused by assigning the same individuals to multiple guesstimation items within the same time interval, helping you quickly identify resource conflicts.

The Collisions KPI report: groups all resource conflicts by their time interval and aggregates them, allowing you to identify potential resource shortages in advance and make proactive adjustments.

For your guesstimation items, you can set a cool-down phase and define an interval during which the team won’t be working. The system automatically does the calculations of the guesstimation item according to the set phase.

You have the option to add and edit descriptions and comments on your guesstimation items.

With the AI Sentinel, you can automatically generate guesstimation items, streamlining your workflow and saving valuable time.
