Auto splitting is a feature that automatically works in case of a collision in the timeline. It is inseparable from the auto adjusting feature. Auto splitting divides the elements in collapsed areas and auto adjusting regulates the order by moving everything to the next available spot.
The auto splitting is the feature that is responsible for dynamically segmenting the elements in the timeline to respect time sensitive blocks and the none-working days, accordingly showing the adjusted due dates.

Auto splitting makes the Task Sensor flexible in use. The splitted elements can still be used as single units in some of the designated views like Kanban and List.
